Description
What makes this guitar special: These Japanese made Telecoustics were only manufactured from 1993-1995 and as such are very rare. This particular piece sports a cool sunburst finish, and showcases a great acoustic sound in a small package. With a professional setup from Cream City Music included, you can be sure it will arrive ready to play.
Cosmetic condition: Very good overall condition for its age. There are various small scratches, nicks, dings, and chips throughout the instrument, as well as some noticeable playwear scratching on the front and buckle rash on the back. The lever for the bass EQ has snapped off, but the slider is still fully functional. There are two notable chips around the rear strap button, and the bridge is lifting slightly from the body on the bass side.
Body: Mahogany body with solid spruce top in beautiful sunburst finish. String-through rosewood bridge with oval shaped sound hole and single ring rosette.
Weight: 5lb, 9oz
Neck: Mahogany neck with cream colored side dots and white dot inlays. Rosewood fingerboard is in good condition, and only sports a few signs of wear. Frets do show some wear near the first position in particular, but still have a great deal of life left in them. Chrome sealed tuners function perfectly. 1 11/16” nut width, 25 1/2" scale length. Neck is straight and truss rod functions as it should.
Electronics: Under saddle Piezo pickup with adjustable bass, treble, and volume.
Playability/Tone: This guitar features a piezo under-saddle pickup, and sounds surprisingly full when plugged in. Acoustically, it has a little more volume than a standard semi-hollow body electric guitar - perfect for practicing your acoustic pieces at limited volume! The neck is comfortable and allows effortless playing up and down the fretboard, making chording and lead lines easy in any position.
Case: Gig bag included.
