What’s special about this bass: This is a great sounding, somewhat rare bass with highly useable electronics. The active preamp really provides a lot of versatility giving the player plenty of tonal options. The neck has a great feel and allows for very easy playability.
Condition: This is a great sounding, highly versatile bass with an awesome feel! There are plenty of scratches, scuffs, nicks, dings, dents and chips throughout the instrument. Fingerboard and frets have only light play wear. The neck is nice and straight with low, comfortable action and the truss rod and neck tilt adjustment function fine. The nut has been upgraded with a bone nut as the original cracked. All electronics and parts are otherwise original and in perfect working condition.
Body: Solid contoured body in black finish. Top-load tailpiece/bridge with four individual saddles. Black metal control knobs and a black back cover plate.
Neck: Very slender and comfortable maple neck with skunk stripe down the back and a neck tilt adjustment screw at the neck heel. Rosewood fingerboard with white dot inlays and a 1.5” bone nut. Fender open-gear tuners, 34” scale length.
Pickups/Electronics: Fender Silver Lace Sensor pickups in the middle and bridge. Stacked concentric volume/pickup blend controls, bass/treble controls and a 4-way selector switch to select between active modes, passive modes and “off”.
Weight: 10lbs, 9.5oz.
Playability/Sound: The active and passive settings on this bass both offer great sounds that are different and versatile from one another. It is pretty nice to be able to go from active to passive via the rotary switch and the neck couldn’t be more comfortable.
