What makes this guitar special: Very early American Standard Strat that is all original & finished in the ultra rare & highly sought-after Graffiti Yellow! An absolutely stunning guitar with minor play wear & a sound that is truly unique to the American Standards of the late '80s. Professionally set up by Cream City Music with fresh strings & low action, so it plays & sounds amazing! A real gem & definite must-have for any serious collector or player!
Cosmetic Condition: Great shape for its age - various nicks, dents & dings; surface scratches & light play wear. No major damage & everything is in perfect working condition.
Neck: Perfectly shaped maple neck with black dot inlays & skunk stripe. Frets show some light wear, but have plenty of life in them. Double string trees & Fender sealed tuners all in perfect working condition. 1 11/16" nut width (slightly wider than the more typical Fender nut width of 1 5/8"); 25 1/2" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod is in perfect working condition. Pencil date on neck appears to read 2 27 89.
Body: Contoured, solid alder body with "swimming pool" pickup rout. The Graffiti Yellow finish is superb & really pops against the white pickguard & maple neck. Two-point tremolo bridge with adjustable saddles & original trem arm included. 3-ply white pickguard show some pick wear, but is in great shape overall with no cracks. 3-ply white trem cover also shows some light buckle rash, but no cracks. Body stamp date reads MAR 10 1989. Guitar weighs 7 lbs 9.3 oz.
Pickups: Original Fender single coils. Bridge - 6.18K ohms; Middle - 5.93K ohms; Neck - 5.80K ohms. Master volume & dual tone controls with 5-way selector switch. Pots date to '88. All electronics are in perfect working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included. A couple of the rivets that hold one side of the handle are missing, but the handle is held on with some wire & works just fine. Also included with the guitar is its original Fender Owner's Manual booklet.
