Description

What makes this guitar special:  Very early American Standard Strat that is all original & finished in the ultra rare & highly sought-after Graffiti Yellow!  An absolutely stunning guitar with minor play wear & a sound that is truly unique to the American Standards of the late '80s.  Professionally set up by Cream City Music with fresh strings & low action, so it plays & sounds amazing!  A real gem & definite must-have for any serious collector or player!

Cosmetic Condition:  Great shape for its age - various nicks, dents & dings; surface scratches & light play wear.  No major damage & everything is in perfect working condition.

Neck:  Perfectly shaped maple neck with black dot inlays & skunk stripe.  Frets show some light wear, but have plenty of life in them.  Double string trees & Fender sealed tuners all in perfect working condition.  1 11/16" nut width (slightly wider than the more typical Fender nut width of 1 5/8"); 25 1/2" scale length.  Neck is straight & truss rod is in perfect working condition.  Pencil date on neck appears to read 2 27 89.

Body:  Contoured, solid alder body with "swimming pool" pickup rout.  The Graffiti Yellow finish is superb & really pops against the white pickguard & maple neck.  Two-point tremolo bridge with adjustable saddles & original trem arm included.  3-ply white pickguard show some pick wear, but is in great shape overall with no cracks.  3-ply white trem cover also shows some light buckle rash, but no cracks.  Body stamp date reads MAR 10 1989.  Guitar weighs 7 lbs 9.3 oz.

Pickups:  Original Fender single coils.  Bridge - 6.18K ohms; Middle - 5.93K ohms; Neck - 5.80K ohms.  Master volume & dual tone controls with 5-way selector switch.  Pots date to '88.  All electronics are in perfect working condition.

Case:  Original hardshell case included.  A couple of the rivets that hold one side of the handle are missing, but the handle is held on with some wire & works just fine.  Also included with the guitar is its original Fender Owner's Manual booklet.
