Description
What Makes This Bass Special: What a cool piece this is. Aluminum necks are impossible to overlook and have a feel, tone, stability, and sustain that is incomparable to anything else. Featuring Schaller tuners, both active and passive pickups for a wide range of tonal choices, and a vibe nothing else has- the DMZ 4000 would make a great addition to any collection. Arriving with a full professional set-up by the experts at Cream City Music, you’ll be able to open the box and dive right in as soon as the package arrives at your door.
Cosmetic Condition: While the bass looks very clean overall, there was some cracking in the body that has been professionally repaired. The bass is completely stable, plays well, and sounds great (see photos of repair). The Jazz pickup in the bridge positon is non-original and the instrument was routed to accommodate its installation. The original 2 way mini switch was replaced with a 3 way switch for the additional pickup.
Neck: Medium profile aluminum and maple with an Ebonal fingerboard. Pearloid dot inlays and side dot markers, the bass also features a zero fret. The 20 frets show wear but have lot of life left in them and the Schaller tuners work perfectly. 1.5” nut width, 34” scale length. The neck is straight and has a bit of relief to it. This model does not feature a truss rod.
Body: Solid contoured maple. Adjustable Badbass II bridge, aluminum rear control cavity cover. Bass weighs 10.45lbs.
Electronics: EMG P bass style pickup in the neck measures 17.62K ohms, the Bartolini Jazz Style bridge pickup measures 6.82K ohms. Non-original 3 way mini switch, dual volume, and master tone controls with black knurled knobs. All electronics have been tested and are functioning properly.
Case: Original hardshell case included. One latch is broken on the case.
