Description
Condition: This is a great looking vintage piece that has acquired a great patina. A small area in the control cavity of the body has been routed (see photos). The shielding on the pickguard in unoriginal but works fine. There are various scratches, nicks, dings and dents throughout the instrument. There are a couple small cracks around some of the screw holes; namely one on the middle bridge screw. These cracks are holding together fine. The neck has a very small amount of relief with the truss rod tightened fully but is mostly straight and comfortable to play. Fingerboard and frets have moderate play wear with heavier wear towards the lower registers. Truss rod functions fine. There has been some soldering work done and some wiring is unoriginal though the electronics are in excellent working condition.
Body: Solid contoured body in white finish. The finish has developed a great looking patina adding to its character. String-through-body design with hard-tail bridge and six individual saddles. 3-ply white pickguard with dual skirted control knobs and dual selector switches.
Neck: Nicely rounded, slender maple neck with a skunk stripe down the back. Rosewood fingerboard with white dot inlays and a 1 5/8” nut. Sealed Fender tuners, 25.5” scale length.
Pickups/Electronics: Humbucking pickups in the neck and bridge with master volume and tone controls, 3-way selector switch and 3-way coil tapping switch for both pickups.
Neck: 12.96K Ohms.
Bridge: 13.21K Ohms.
Weight: 7lbs, 8.0oz.
Playability/Sound: This is a rare and unique Fender guitar. The single-coil settings provide some of the classic Fender tones players love while the humbucking settings offer a thick, rich sound with plenty of output and tons of sustain. The neck is very comfortable and the aged white finish looks awesome!
Case: Includes original hardshell case.
