Description
Condition: Good overall. This is a great player’s grade Sonex! There is a large crack that goes roughly halfway through the body between the upper and lower bass side bouts. There is also a smaller but visible crack from the neck heel pocket to the neck pickups cavity (see photos of both). These cracks will require repair however the instrument is still structurally stable and perfectly playable even with these cracks. Cosmetically there is a square sticker ghost under the bridge (see photos) and various scratches, nicks, dings and dents. Some electronics work has been done and some wiring and the controls knobs are unoriginal. Pickups and pots are original and in perfect working condition. Fingerboard and frets have light play wear.
Body: Solid Resonwood body in black finish, Stop-Bar Tailpiece, Tune-O-Matic bridge, skirted control knobs and a 2-ply black pickguard.
Neck: Bolt-on mahogany neck with rosewood fingerboard, pearloid dot inlays and a 1 11/16” nut. Nickel tuners, 24 ¾” scale length.
Pickups/Electronics: Original Zebra humbuckers in the neck and bridge with dual volume and tone controls and a 3-way selector switch. Neck: 6.94K Ohms. Bridge: 6.97K Ohms.
Playability/Sound: The pickups on this guitar have a very versatile range of sound. They can handle anything from a clean sparkle to a thick, rich distortion. The Resonwood body offers up a different sound than that of a typical Gibson. Neck is extremely comfortabler and suitable for any playing style.
Case: Includes unoriginal gig bag.
