Description
What makes this guitar special? This is a great-playing Hamer with equally good tone and a killer finish. The most notable aspect is the excellently-figured flame maple top that boasts an almost lightning bolt looking pair of streaks that extend in from the left lower bout to the bridge, all of which looks absolutely dynamite under an Emerald Green finish. The USA DiMarzio humbuckers have a full and warm response that play equally well clean as they do with a bit of drive. The D shape neck is easy to move around and provides a ton of flat-back real estate to post up on. The controls are simple and intuitive, the action is great, and the deep rosewood board extending into the Emerald Green body gives this fantastic guitar a bit of a mythical aesthetic.
Condition: This Hamer is in very good condition overall, especially considering it’s a 35-year-old guitar. It does posses various scratches, finish chips, dings, dents, and other forms of wear, but still looks fantastic for its age and plays the same. The frets show only mild wear and still have a ton of playing time left in them. The neck is comfortable and the truss rod is functioning.
