Cosmetic Condition: Great shape for its age with mild play wear - minor nicks, dings & surface scratches. Some of the gold has worn off the pickup covers, but is still quite prevalent elsewhere. SECOND is pressed into the back of the headstock just below the serial number. However, there are no issues with the guitar structurally or electronically. Overall the guitar looks fabulous with a nice patina.
Neck: Slender profile flame maple neck with cream binding & tortoise side dots. A few of the dots have some dark marks around them, possibly from a pen or permanent marker, but it's purely cosmetic. Ebony fingerboard with offset mother of pearl dot inlays. Frets are in great shape with no wear. Multi-bound headstock with mother of pearl inlays. Gold Gibson tuners are in perfect working condition. Brass truss rod cover with ES-Artist engraving. 1 11/16" brass nut; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: Semi-hollow maple body with gorgeous birdseye & flame figuring throughout. Multi-bound top & back with beautiful, dark cherry sunburst finish. TP-6 tailpiece & Tune-O-Matic bridge with gold hardware. Tortoise pickguard with 5-ply binding is in great shape with no cracks. Guitar weighs 8 lbs 9.6 oz.
Electronics: Gibson Pat No humbuckers with black bezels. Master volume & tone controls for each pickup with black speed knobs. 3-way pickup switch & three mini toggle switches connected to an internal circuit board that offers compressor / expander tones. All electronics are in good working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included.
