Description
What makes this guitar special? This bass comes from a distinct time in history where many companies were trying to capitalize on the success of certain designs and were aptly coined “lawsuit” instruments. From afar, it’s not hard to see why, but still makes up a unique point in history backed with a bit of build integrity. The Sunburst finish on this bass looks great with a little bit of fading and the nicks, dings, and holes from mounted hardware give it a tenured charm.
Condition: This Ibanez Bass is in fair condition overall. There are various nicks, dings, dents, and scratches throughout the body and neck, but considering it’s almost 40 years old, it’s still in decent shape for its age. The neck is straight and the truss rod functions as it should. The frets show only light wear and still have quite a bit of life left in them.
Body: P-Bass style body in Sunburst. Red tortoise pickguard. Chrome hardware.
Neck: Round profile maple neck and maple fingerboard w/ black dot inlays. Open-gear tuners with clover buttons. 1 9/16” nut.
Electronics: P-Bass style split pickup. 1 x volume, 1 x tone.
Weight: 9 lbs
Playability/Sound: The round profile neck has a comfortable full-in-hand feel and moves easily from the nut to the cutaway. The pickups sound pretty spot on with fat lows and a meaty mid-range.
Case: No case included.
