Description

What makes this guitar special: Honestly, there are few elements of Kramer guitars that aren’t special, to say the least. The pots on this one have been dated to ’76 and everything is all original. The body contours make playing it very comfortable, despite the added weight from its build. The pickups sound huge and run hot, providing a super chunky neck response and crisp bridge full of bite, both of which with solid drive. The neck is a common C shape, making it an easy transition for a wide variety of players. Plus, outside a few aesthetic flaws here and there, it is still in great shape for being 40 years old and still plays, looks, and sounds fantastic.

Condition: This guitar is in very good condition overall. It does show various nicks, dings, dents, scuffs, chips, and scratches, but is still in fantastic shape for its age. The finish is worn in some areas right where the two pieces of the body meet, but is still smooth to the touch and doesn’t seem to be splitting or fraying at the seam. The frets show only mild wear but still have a considerable amount of life left in them. All the saddles are adjustable besides the G string saddle, which still moves fine back and forth, but the rusted screws make adjusting the height difficult, but it still plays fine as it at the height that its at. The neck is straight. The case is missing half of the middle latch.

Body: Double cutaway contoured tropical mahogany body in Natural finish. Fixed short plate bridge with individually adjustable barrel saddles. Black speed knobs.

Neck: C shape aluminum neck with walnut strips and ebonol fingerboard with aluminum dot inlays. Aluminum split-fork headstock with Schaller tuning machines. 1 11/16” aluminum nut. 25” scale.

Electronics: Kramer high-powered humbuckers in the neck and bridge. 2 x volume, 2 x tone controls. 3-way pickup selector.

Neck: 11.44k Ohms

Bridge: 11.46k Ohms

Weight: 12 lbs

Playability/Sound: The C shape neck is easy and familiar. There is a slight raised edge where the aluminum and walnut meet on the bass side (top) of the neck where it is uneven, but although you can feel it, doesn’t cause much issue in terms of playing. The pickups are full and hot in both positions with a bit more body in the neck and bite in the bridge.

Case: Includes original hardshell case.
