Description

Description: 1974 Tama Model 3558 Dreadnaught Acoustic Guitar

Condition: Very good! Various surface scratches, nicks, dings, dents and some weather checking throughout the finish. No repairs or cracks. Fingherboard and frets have moderate play wear and tons of life left in them! All parts are original and in perfect working condition.

Body: Double-bound dreadnaught body with solid spruce top and laminate Brazilian Rosewood back and sides in natural finish. Rosewood bridge, ivoroid saddle, black pickguard and multiple inlaid rings around the sound hole. There are some elegant abalone inlays around the top and back binding and a herringbone inlay up the center seam on the back.

Neck: Mahogany neck with bound rosewood fingerboard, abalone inlays and a 1 ¾” nut. Sealed tuners, 25 ¼” scale length.

Playability/Sound: This is an exceptional sounding vintage acoustic guitar. The overall craftsmanship and attention to detail really make this guitar stand out from others of its era. Structurally this piece is in great shape and the woods have really opened up giving it a very full, resonant tone. The sound is very similar to that of a similar sized Martin. This particular guitar has a defined low end, even mids and even yet pronounced highs. The neck is exceptionally comfortable and suitable for any playing style.

Case: Includes vintage hardshell case.
