Description
What makes this guitar special: An excellent player's grade vintage SG with a cool vibe & lots of character. She's a bit rough around the edges, but the mods make it a real rockin' beast. The P-90 is a screamer & the pro refret makes the guitar super smooth to play. Pro set up included, so she's ready to go straight out of the case!
Cosmetic Condition: A real road warrior with lots of wear & tear - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; surface scratches, weather checking & finish wear. There are two superficial cracks in both cutouts of the body. These are merely in the surface & do not penetrate all the way through the body. There is no movement when pressure is applied & they do not affect playability or sound quality. Overall the guitar has that great well-worn look to it with a nice patina.
Neck: Nicely rounded mahogany neck with cream side-dots. Dark rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl dot inlays. Pro refret & frets are in great shape with no wear. Unoriginal nickel Grover tuners are in perfect working condition. 1 9/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod is in good working condition.
Body: Contoured, solid mahogany body. Original Gibson tremolo tailpiece with unoriginal Tune-O-Matic bridge. Guitar weighs 7 lbs 7.6 oz.
Pickups: Original Gibson logo bridge P-90 (8.10K ohms); Unoriginal dog-ear neck P-90 (7.86K ohms). Dual volume & tone controls with black speed knobs; 3-way toggle switch. Pots date to '71 & all electronics are in good working condition.
