What makes this guitar special: This is a great vintage Gibson bass with a ton of character. The pickups are the most outstanding part of this bass, as they carry an absolute ton of vintage vibe while still providing modern applicability. The neck is surprisingly full for a single-coil and provides more than enough thump with its own touch of character, mostly stemming from the upper mid-range. The middle position has a bit more articulation, yet doesn’t get so bright that it loses any of its warm vintage charm. The neck plays easily and should be a simple transition for most players. Although it’s got some cosmetic issues, that just means it’s been often-played, and should continue to be, thanks to its overall vibe and solid tone.
Condition: This bass is in good condition overall. It does have various nicks, dings, dents, chips, scuffs, scratches, hardware oxidation, and other forms of wear, as well as a good amount of finish chipping on the bottom bout, but it still functions fine and still sounds great. The frets show mild wear but still have a decent amount of playing time left in them. The neck is comfortable and the truss rod functions, but due to the unoriginal saddles and neck angle, the action isn’t as low as it would normally be. It still plays just fine though. The case is only in fair shape. The two clip locks are broken off, but the center holds just fine and the rest shows signs of normal aging.
Body: Double cutaway mahogany body in Cherry finish. Fixed bridge with adjustable saddles. Black witch hat control knobs with silver inserts.
Neck: Medium depth D shape mahogany neck and rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays. Chrome sealed tuning machines. 1 5/8” nut width. 34” scale.
Electronics: Gibson single-coil pickups in the neck and middle. 1 x volume, 1 x tone, 2 x on/off pickup switches.

Playability/Sound: The neck has a slightly chunky feel that many players will appreciate. The pickups are nice and warm with a fatter low end in the neck and more articulate punch in the middle position.
