Description

What makes this guitar special: Perfectly worn like a tenured favorite and with an old-school sound few guitars compare to, this fantastic late-60s Mustang has an absolute ton of character. Its short scale gives it a unique feel, especially when combined with a trim 9/16” nut width and a weight that rolls in under six-and-a-half pounds, but none of these elements make it any less of a rock-and-roll machine. Its pickups have distinct character with a bit of low to mid-range warmth and twang and jangle in the upper mid-range, cementing its vintage tone. Its various love marks and mild buckle rash prove that it was often played, but still well-cared for, and it still looks as good as it sounds, especially considering its age. Plus, it comes with a hardshell case and a pro setup so it plays that much better.

Condition: This guitar is in very good condition overall. It shows various nicks, dings, dents, scuffs, scratches, finish checking, buckle rash, hardware oxidation, and normal finish wear, but is still in great shape for its age. The frets show light to mild wear but still have a good amount of life left in them. The neck is straight and the truss rod functions as it should.

Body: Double cutaway offset ash body in Sunburst finish. 3-ply white pearloid pickguard. Adjustable 6-saddle bridge and vibrato tailpiece. Black plastic control knobs with line indicators.

Neck: Slim to medium C shape maple neck and rosewood fingerboard with pearl dot inlays. Fender sealed nickel tuning machines with white plastic buttons. 1 9/16” nut width. 24” scale length. .87” deep at the 1st fret and .96” deep at the 12th.

Electronics: Fender single-coil pickups. 1 x volume, 1 x tone control. 2 x on/off/on pickup switches.

Weight: 6 lbs 7.8 oz

Playability/Sound: The C shape neck should be an easy and familiar neck to move around for most players, while its slim nut width provides a bit more reach over the fingerboard. The pickups are loaded with great vintage jangle, a decent amount of warmth, and great upper-midrange character that give them a unique tonal identity.

Case: Includes unoriginal hardshell case.
