Description
Description: 1960s Vintage Framus Electric Guitar
Condition: Very good overall. The bridge pickup is missing and only the pickup cover is still in place. The neck pickup has a high ohm reading but does function with decent output as do the neck volume and tone controls. The bridge pickup pot works and will function properly once a new pickup is installed. Various surface scratches, nicks, dings, dents and weather checking throughout the guitar. Fingerboard and frets have moderate play wear and tons of life left in them. One control knob and vibrato arm are missing.
Body: Solid double cutaway maple body with gorgeous flame figuring on the back! Vibrato tailpiece, nickel bridge with individual saddles, skirted control knobs with one barrel knob and original striped pickguard.
Neck: Laminate mahogany neck with Brazilian Rosewood fingerboard, pearloid dot inlays, zero fret and a 1 9/16” nut. Vintage six-on-a-strip nickel tuners, 24 ¾” scale length.
Pickups/Electronics: Framus single coil pickup in the neck with volume and tone controls and an on/off switch. As started above the bridge pickup is missing with only the cover in place.
Neck: 145.0K Ohms.
Playability/Sound: This is a very unique instrument! Though the bridge pickup is missing, the buyer could put a huge variety of pickups in its place to create a truly one-of-a-kind guitar. The neck pickup provides a great vintage tone with plenty of warmth. The neck is very comfortable and suitable for any playing style.
Case: Does not include case.
