Description
A vintage 1960 Lesmann Accordio-Organ tube combo amp in cosmetic condition. Originally intended to be mated with the Lesmann "Acordio-Organ" electric accordion, this amp makes a fantastic guitar amp when plugged into the microphone input. As far as sleepers go, this one is hard to beat. These units were not cheap in 1960, and the build quality is top notch. The circuit is hand-wired on eylet board and all transformers are high-quality mid-century American varieties. It all powers a sweet-sounding Magnavox-branded 15" alnico, likey manufactured by Jensen or CTS.
Sound-wise, it's hard not to compare to a tweed Fender. With a circuit and sound very similar to a tweed-era Fender Pro-Amp, this amp will make a great bargain for a player looking for a Tweed-quality vintage amp without the Tweed price. This amp has just been fully serviced with new power supply filter caps and a grounded AC cord. In addition any leaky signal caps were replaced with new Mallory 150s, so reliable operation can be expected for years to come. This vintage amplifier has been cleaned, serviced, and tested. It is fully functional and sounds absolutely fantastic.
