POPULAR MUSIC STORE BRINGS GUITAR ROADSHOW TO KALAMAZOO
After nearly 9 years of retail business in Milwaukee, WI, Cream City Music has decided to bring their wares on the road. The store, which sells guitars and other musical instruments, will be hosting a "Guitar Roadshow" in Kalamazoo, MI on May 12th and 13th at the Radisson Plaza Hotel. "We chose Kalamazoo largely because of its history of guitar manufacturing," says owner Joe Gallenberger. "The Gibson and Heritage guitar companies both got their starts there."
The Roadshow is an opportunity to see well over one hundred rare, collectable guitars all at once. "Rarely do you get to see so many in the same room, especially in a smaller city," said Gallenberger. "We enjoy bringing shows like this to smaller markets, ones that aren’t already saturated with megastores and trade shows."
All guitars on display will be for sale, and free appraisals on instruments will also be offered.
Husband and wife owners Joe and Jessica Gallenberger started the business in 1998 from their Wauwatosa home by selling used musical instruments on Ebay, but their dream was to open a guitar shop that would provide a vast selection of collectable and rare guitars. The store has since expanded into one of the area’s largest independent guitar shops.
Last year, Cream City Music began traveling to other Midwestern cities with their "Guitar Roadshow," hosting the event in Iowa, Minnesota, and Indiana. They figured Kalamazoo would be equally as successful and are looking forward to the event.
The Guitar Roadshow will be open from 10am-4pm May 12th and 13th. Admission to the event is free, all musicians and guitar enthusiasts are invited to attend. For more information please see www.gretschworld.com or call 800-800-0087.
